The development of UCLP is a collaborative effort between the following organizations
Inocybe Technologies Inc. (ITI) is a young company founded by Mathieu Lemay that specializes in advanced network software programming as well as hardware development for reconfigurable optical network element's control. Mathieu Lemay was a key developer on the UCLPv1 team and was responsible for the Switch Communications Service, the main software module which interacts with the network elements. The Communications Research Centre (CRC) is an Agency of Industry Canada. The Broadband Applications and Optical Networks (RBON) group headed by Mr. Savoie is part of the Broadband Network Technologies research branch. This group carries out R&D activities in emerging broadband applications, services and technologies associated with next generation optical networks. Some of the group's research activities are being conducted in collaboration with CANARIE, NCIT and OPRA partner organizations (Carleton University and the University of Ottawa), and i2CAT/UPC. The CRC Project Team for the UCLPv2 project is: Michel Savoie, Team Leader and overall Project Manager
The i2CAT Foundation, a not for profit Spanish organization. The i2CAT Foundation works through clusters. These structures gather different advanced Internet sectors or specific areas as: optical and mobile networks, audiovisual, bio-medicine or e-learning. Clusters are opened to research academic groups, companies and the administrations. The i2CAT Foundation, and more exactly the Network technologies Cluster is financing the developments that the UPC is carrying out for the UCLPv1.4 project under the collaboration established through an MOU with CRC. Canarie is Canada's advanced Internet development organization is a not-for-profit corporation supported by its members, project partners and the Federal Government.
A partner on the original UCLPv1 and UCLPv2 Directed Research Projects the University of Ottawa team is the research group lead by Dr. Gregor v. Bochmann within the School of Information Technologies and Engineering (SITE) at the University of Ottawa. The proposed project will be performed in the Advanced Internet Applications and Systems (AIAS) Lab at SITE. |
